Dead Even Preview

The release of DEAD EVEN has been pushed back to early November by the publisher, so those of you waiting patiently are going to have expend a little more patience...but it'll be worth it!  To whet your appetite, here's a mock-up of the cover, along with some more preview information.

Debbi Mack wrote a positive review of DEAD EVEN on her blog.  Here is the link:

She goes into considerable detail about the book and offers her take on the collection, so if you'd like a preview of what's coming, this would be a good place to go.  While you're there, jump over to her main site and check out her book, Identity Crisis.

Here's one quote from her article:  "Zafiro's ability to capture the small details of a cop's life are part of what makes these stories feel so real and give you a truer picture of police work than anything you'll see on CSI."

Additionally, here's what others are saying:

"Hyper-realistic fiction at its best."
-O'Neil De Noux, SHAMUS and DERRINGER Award Winning author of the LaStanza New Orleans Police novels and NEW ORLEANS NOCTURNAL

"You ctually see, hear, taste, and smell what it’s like to be a cop—but get to live to tell about it."
-B.J. Bourg, crime fiction writer and Chief Investigator, Lafourche Parish DA’s Office

"Compelling characters, engrossing plots, and overall, a fantastic collection of shorts."
- Clair Dickson, author of Bo Fexler mysteries

"Dead Even is an exceptional—and deliciously entertaining—collection of stories."
-John Floyd, award-winning author of Rainbow’s End, Midnight, and Clockwork
